How long do you need to visit Roscoff? Two days are enough to see the essentials and leave wanting to come back. Here is the plan we suggest to our guests for a perfect weekend, to adapt to the weather and the tides.
Friday evening: first dinner on the harbour
Drop your bags and head to the old harbour as the light falls on the granite houses. A seafood platter or a galette on a terrace, and the weekend has begun. Our favourite tables are in our good addresses.
Saturday morning: corsair Roscoff
Wander through the historic centre, step into the Notre-Dame de Croaz Batz church with its Renaissance bell tower, then visit the Maison des Johnnies et de l'oignon de Roscoff to discover the story of the onion sellers who sailed to Britain. Then climb up to the Sainte-Barbe chapel for the view over the harbour.
Saturday afternoon: off to the Île de Batz
A fifteen-minute boat ride and you are on the Île de Batz. Hire a bike when you arrive, tour the white sandy beaches and climb the lighthouse if you feel brave. It is all explained in our article A day on the Île de Batz.
Sunday: coastal path and beach
Spend the morning on the GR34 coastal path, among pink rocks and views over the Bay of Morlaix. After lunch, head to the Exotic Garden, depending on the season, or take a last walk on Roscoff's most beautiful beaches before heading home.
Where to stay for a weekend?
For a weekend, the easiest option is to stay in the centre or near the harbour so you can do everything on foot. Our apartments such as Ty Phare, L'Amiral or Terre de Bas are perfect for two to four people. Outside the high season, most of our homes can be booked from two nights.
And so that everything is ready when you arrive, we can deliver breakfast, do your shopping or book your boat trip: discover our tailor-made stay.
