Roscoff is a small town, but each neighbourhood has its own feel. Want to do everything on foot, wake up facing the sea or have the beach at the end of the garden? Here is our advice on where to stay in Roscoff, with the homes we look after in each part of town.
The old harbour and historic centre: everything on foot
This is the heart of Roscoff: granite corsair houses, restaurants, shops, the Notre-Dame de Croaz Batz church and the boat to the Île de Batz. Park the car and forget about it for the week.
Our homes: Ty Phare and L'Amiral overlooking the old harbour, L'Appartement du Port and La Maison du Port right in the centre, and Terre de Bas, Terre de Haut and the house Ty Holen, a stone's throw from everything.
The seafront, between harbour and beach
Just east of the centre, facing the sea, you get peace and quiet while staying a few minutes' walk from the restaurants. In the same building, Dominique, La Barbade and Grenade look out to sea and can be booked together for large families.
Roc'h Kroum: the beach and the thalassotherapy spa
To the west, Roc'h Kroum is the place for swimmers and spa lovers: the beach is right there and the thalassotherapy centre two minutes away. Azea even has direct access to the sand through a private gate, and Flic en Flac is perfect for a spa break for two or four.
Traon Erc'h and the Grande Grève: space and views
To the south-east, facing the Bay of Morlaix, this is the Roscoff of large houses, gardens and sunsets over the water. Our villas Grande Terre, Petite Terre, Marie Galante and Sainte Lucie stand side by side at Traon Erc'h and can be booked together for up to 24 guests. Near the Grande Grève, La Désirade and La Romance offer a garden and a sea view.
Fancy a pool? Villa Laouen, close to the centre, has a pool heated from May to October.
Our advice for choosing
Without a car or for a short stay, go for the centre or the old harbour. With children, a house with a garden at Traon Erc'h or near the Grande Grève. For a spa break or a beach holiday, Roc'h Kroum.
